What is and is not acceptable when posting

After reading some posts from players who feel they are being "stiffled" or unable to post, let me clarify a few things here:

1. Guild Discussion threads are usually meant for the 2 Guilds at war to hash out their differences and have a little smack talk.
If someone not in the war has something of substance to add to the chat, Board staff should have no problem with it. But, if that player comes in with the sole purpose of trolling or trying to talk about bans, rules or anything off topic, then they will be asked to stay out of the thread.
2. The war Declaration Thread is solely for the posting of rosters, GO approval of the war and the adding and removal of players, anything else will be considered spam and warned for. You can make a Discussion Thread to handle any chat between Guilds at war.
3. Talking or mentioning ANYONES ban (yours included) is NOT allowed on these Boards and is clearly stated in the Board Rules
All of you know you are not allowed to do this, so if you get a warning for it, you have no one to blame but yourself.
4. Backseat GO'ing. Which means copying and pasting rules into a thread and trying to tell the other player what "you" think it means.
GO's will handle the rules and cite them when needed, if you have any problem with a rule PM a GO. It has been said multiple times. So again, if you get warned for that you have no one to blame but yourself.
5. You are all free to create threads, either Discussion threads, suggestion threads, help threads, etc. If a Thread is opened in the wrong section, it will be moved to the correct one and left open for you.
6. Make sure you can differentiate "smack talk" from actual insults against another player. Smack talk such as "Our Guild is the best, yours can't compare to ours" or "My shogun is far superior to yours" is fine, it refers to the game and the characters in it.
But personally insulting or attacking the player behind the character is not allowed. Separate your in game smack talk from actual insults.
This game is meant to be fun, smack talk should be entertaining.
So if you see yourself get warned for something, please check the Board Rules, then step back and read what you posted to better understand why you were warned.
A Mod will send you a message with a reason for the warning (or a message on the post if it's merely a Verbal warning).

Remember the Forums are meant to be enjoyed by everyone, feel free to use them, but don't abuse them or each other.

Thanks to Turantobas for this awesome siggy! You rock!
