updated game rules, valid from 11/12/2009


Each player agrees to the Terms and Conditions and the ingame rules of Katsuro with his registration. Every violation of the rules can cause a temporary ban or an exclusion from the game. Depending on the rule violation, an exclusion from the game can be extended by a game administrator to all offers connected to Katsuro. The team is obligated to handle all cases of rule violation in all conscience.


§1 Accounts
(I)

Every player is allowed to play only a single account per Server.

If 2 or more players are sharing the same IP address(brother and sister, husband and wife) this has to be reported to the Game Operator in charge for their Server. If not accounts will be banned without warning!
If more than one account is played from the same network the Game Operator has to be informed.
Interaction between accounts that have the same IP is prohibited. Membership in the same guild, however, is permitted.
Account sitting and sharing are forbidden , each user takes care of his account.
Racist or inappropriate player names will be excluded from the game.

(II) Pushing

The "pushing" of a stronger by a weaker account, either with gold or items is prohibited and may result in temporary or permanent closure of the involved account

§2 Bug using

Exploitation and utilization of bugs and/or programming errors is prohibited. If a user detects a bug, he is obliged to inform the responsible Game Operator immediately. The exploitation of a bug may cause an immediate ban by the Game team. Bugusing in terms of error replication may just happen with admission of a Game Operator.


§3 Script using

Using a program as interface between the player and his game is prohibited. Any other form of automatically generated information generated for a group of players advantage with malicious intentions is forbidden as well. Tools can be tolerated by the administration.

§4 Bashing

More than 3 attacks on a single player, by a single player, within any 24 hour period, starting from the first attack is defined as bashing and thus not allowed.

Bashing exceptions

If two guilds start a war, more than these 3 attacks will be allowed.

Behaviour which affects the game experience from other players.
Continued attacks on a single player, by a single player or collective of players working in conjunction with a guild, with the intent of punishing the player for their guild affiliation, or lack there of, will be viewed as player harassment as it restricts that player from playing the game as the developer has intended. Due to this harassment the player isn't able to grow in the game anymore. Player harassment is a violation of the Terms and Conditions of Gameforge games and could lead to immediate termination of your playing privileges.

§5 Real life threats and insults

To express the intention to harm a person (user, team member or representatives of Gameforge) is strictly forbidden within the game, the board and all official IRC channels.

Ingame texts may not cause any offense to players of Katsuro by being of unacceptable quality. This is in particular the case

• when someone is insulted
  
• when foul language is used
  
• when a racist statement is made
  
• when political extreme statements or terms are used
  
• for improper pictures on alliance pages and links to improper websites
  

But also in other cases. It is up to the judgment of gamestaff to decide if a content is bannable.

§6 Content

Content in profiles, names, news, guild names, guild profiles or messages, which violates the human dignity of a person, or violates a law, and the call to violate human dignity or laws, can be censored respectively users will be locked or deleted.
It is not allowed to use names of team members, to simulate being part of the team, or to threat an other user with sanctions of the team.

§7 Game Language

On all servers, English is the official language in the game. Violations may be issued with a closure of the accounts. Japanese texts and characters are allowed, but only as long as the majority of the text is English.

Foreign game language in player descriptions, guild descriptions or ingame messages are subject to a blocking of the account. Proper names of guilds and players, and the quotation of familiar Latin and English phrases and proverbs are exempt.

§8 Abuse of the rules and their additions

Any form, way and any attempt to get personal profit unfairly by abusing ingame rules or the decisions of a team member is forbidden.

§9 Terms and conditions

The terms and conditions will be supplemented by these rules and must be observed.
